A little bit about me -

I began my formal dance training at age 18 while in the midst of my first semester of college. Since then I have received multiple degrees including an Associate of Arts in Dance Performance from Casper College, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre and Dance from the University of Wyoming and a Master of Fine Arts in Modern Dance from the University of Utah. Having spent seven seasons as a full time company member with Salt Lake City'Repertory Dance Theatre, I have had the opportunity to have performed works by Merce Cunningham, Zvi Gotheiner, Doris Humphrey, Michio Ito, José Limón, Murray Louis, Daniel Nagrin, Yvonne Rainer, Anna Sokolow, Tandy Beal, William (Bill) Evans, Shapiro & Smith, and Susan Hadley, as well as work with movers and shakers such as Ellen Bromberg, Della Davidson, Abby Fiat, Pamela Geber, Satu Hummasti, Marsha Fay Knight, and Peter Pucci. I have also had the opportunity to perform in such venues as The Joyce Theatre (NYC), The National Centre for the Performing Arts (Beijing, China), The Kennedy Center for Performing Arts (Washington, D.C.); The White Wave Dance Festival (NYC); The American Dance Guild's 50th Anniversary (NYC); The International Choreographer's Showcase (Madrid, Spain); and several American College Dance Festivals throughout the nation. I am the Artistic Director/Resident Choreographer for Wyoming Dance Arts. Currently, I serve as an Assistant Professor of Theatre and Dance in the Department of Theatre and Dance at the University of Wyoming. My research interests include the intersectionality of gender with social and political landscapes, as explored through the integration of multi-media elements and diverse movement modalities.
